New L2 servers launching for the first time
New Lineage 2 servers on their first launch are projects opening for the first time rather than relaunching under a new name or after a wipe. They have no history yet, so everyone starts equal and the first players become the face of the server.
First Launch: Pros and Risks
- An equal start. No veterans with leveled characters and no ready-made clans; the balance of power forms from scratch.
- Influence on the project. Admins usually listen most to the first players.
- Risk. The team may lack the experience to keep the online, and a fresh build usually has more bugs than a proven one.
How to Check a New Project
Without a history, look at how the project prepares for launch: how detailed the rates and features are, whether there is an open beta and whether donation rules are public. A bonus start and clear update plans are good signs. Projects with a launch history are easier to find in the Lineage 2 server ranking.
Upcoming launches are in the list above and on the servers opening today page.
