Gladiator 2nd class quest walkthrough

Step 1. High Priest Hollint in Oren · Trust

Teleport to the Town of Oren: High Priest Hollint stands in the temple, about 700 east-northeast of the teleport. Only Humans with the 1st class at level 37+ can take the quest. Click "Say you will take the Trial of Trust" — you get the Letter to Elf and the Letter to Darkelf and, on the first take, 96 Dimensional Diamond.

Step 2. Duelist Kaien in Oren · Duelist

Teleport to the Town of Oren and enter the Warriors' Guild: Duelist Kaien gives the quest from level 39 to Warriors, Elven Knights, Palus Knights and Orc Monks. Click "Ask about the Mark of the Duelist.", "Ask about the Trial of the Duelist." and "Accept the challenge." (orcs see "Ask about the Duelist Trial." instead of the second line). Kaien hands you five orders — Order Gludio, Dion, Giran, Oren and Aden — plus, on the first take, 104 Dimensional Diamond for a Palus Knight and 72 for the others.

Step 3. Kash in Dion · Challenger

Teleport to the Town of Dion and enter the Warriors' Guild: Kash stands there. He gives the quest from level 35 to Warriors, Elven Knights, Palus Knights, Orc Raiders and Orc Monks. Click "Ask what kind of adventure it is.", then "I accept.". On the first take you get 61 Dimensional Diamond.

Step 4. Hierarch Asterios · Trust

Teleport to the Elven Village: Hierarch Asterios stands in the temple, about 2,400 west-southwest of the teleport. Click "Give him the letter from Hollint", then "\"How can I help to restore the forest?\"" — you get the Order of Asterios: you have to kill the leaders of the forest spirits.

Step 5. Actea of Verdant Wilds · Trust

From the Elven Village teleport to the Elven Forest: Dryads lv. 13 (level 13) and Dryad Elders lv. 14 (level 14) roam west-northwest of the teleport, 5,000 to 15,000 away. After each kill there is a 33% chance that the quest monster Actea of Verdant Wilds lv. 37, level 37, appears nearby — kill it to get the Seed of Verdure.

Step 6. Luell of Zephyr Winds · Trust

From the Elven Village teleport to the Neutral Zone and run across the bridge to the northeast: Lireins lv. 18 (level 18) and Lirein Elders lv. 19 (level 19) live there. After a kill there is a 33% chance the quest monster Luell of Zephyr Winds lv. 37, level 37, appears — she drops the Breath of Winds.

Step 7. Scroll of Elf Trust · Trust

Return to Asterios with the seed and the breath of winds — he gives you the Scroll of Elf Trust and sends you to the Dark Elves.

Step 8. Tetrarch Thifiell · Trust

Teleport to the Dark Elven Village: Tetrarch Thifiell stands in the temple, about 1,800 northeast of the teleport. Click "Give the letter of Hollint." — you get the Letter from Thifiell for Magister Clayton.

Step 9. Shyslassys in the Neutral Zone · Challenger

Shyslassys lv. 36 is an ancient medusa, a level 36 quest monster; Kash himself advises taking a party. Her lair is a cave by the waterfall in the Neutral Zone, between the Elven and Dark Elven lands. From the Dark Elven Village teleport to the Neutral Zone and run about 25,000 northeast. Other guides go through Swampland: from its teleport it is about 27,500 east.

The Scroll of Shyslassys and the Broken Key drop right away, on the first kill. A Chest Of Shyslassys appears nearby for 200 seconds — it is a bonus, not a quest step: with the key you have a 20% chance of armor patterns and recipes, otherwise 1 to 1,000 adena, and the key is used up. If the monster has just been killed, it respawns in 3 minutes.

Step 10. Magister Clayton in Dion · Trust

Teleport to the Town of Dion: Magister Clayton stands in the Dark Elven Guild, about 2,400 southwest of the teleport. He gives you the Order of Clayton — a list of three materials. The materials drop only while you carry this order.

Step 11. Kash's letter · Challenger

Go back to Dion and give Kash the scroll. He hands you the Letter of Kash: he left the mark itself with a friend — Martien in Giran.

Step 12. Dead Seekers · Duelist

The first trial is 10 trophies from each of ten mobs, two in every land of Aden. The trophies drop with a 100% chance (× the quest rate) and only before the Final Order — after it these mobs give nothing. The Dion land: from Dion run about 31,000 east to the Execution Grounds (many servers also have a direct teleport there). The level 34 Dead Seeker lv. 34 drops the Dead Seeker Fang.

Step 13. Stakatos by the Cruma Tower · Duelist, Trust

From Dion teleport to the Cruma Tower and run about 6,500–10,000 north-northeast into the marshes. The level 35 Marsh Stakato Drone lv. 35 drops the Drone's Chitin.

In the same marshes collect the material for Clayton — the same drones count for both marks. Any stakato counts — Marsh Stakato lv. 29, Worker lv. 31, Soldier lv. 33 or Drone lv. 35; the nearest soldiers are about 3,200 north of the teleport. 10 Stakatos Fluids turn into the Stakato Ichor.

Step 14. Martien by Giran · Challenger

Teleport to the Town of Giran: Martien stands by the bridge outside the north exit of the town — about 4,300 north of the teleport. Click "Take the challenge": he takes the letter and sends you to kill Gorr, a monster attacking the people of Floran.

Step 15. Guardian Basilisks in Death Pass · Trust

From Giran teleport to Dragon Valley: Guardian Basilisks lv. 36 (level 36) roam the Death Pass gorge around the arrival point. You need 10 Blood of Guardian Basilisk — the blood drops from every kill (× quest rate) and turns into the Basilisk Plasma by itself.

Step 16. Breka Orc Overlords · Duelist

The Giran land: from Giran teleport to Breka's Stronghold and run about 8,000 northeast. The level 35 Breka Orc Overlord lv. 35 drops the Overlord Necklace.

Step 17. Fettered Souls · Duelist

Level 38 Fettered Souls lv. 38 roam the Death Pass, the pass between Giran and Oren. From Oren teleport to the Plains of Lizardmen and run about 15,700 south. They drop the Fettered Soul's Chain.

Step 18. Leto Lizardman Overlords · Duelist

The Oren land: from the same Plains of Lizardmen teleport run about 9,200 north-northwest. The level 40 Leto Lizardman Overlord lv. 40 drops the Chief's Amulet.

Step 19. Enchanted Monstereyes · Duelist

From Oren teleport to the Ivory Tower and go down into the crater right by the tower. The level 41 Enchanted Monstereye lv. 41 drops the Enchanted Eye Meat.

Step 20. Tamlin Orcs and archers · Duelist

The Aden land: from Hunters Village run about 6,000 south-southeast. The level 41 Tamlin Orc lv. 41 drops the Tamrin Orc's Ring.

Level 42 Tamlin Orc Archers lv. 42 roam the same area — they drop the Tamrin Orc's Arrow.

Step 21. Punchers · Duelist

The Gludio land: from Gludio teleport to Windawood Manor and run about 14,900 south into the Wasteland. The level 34 Puncher lv. 34 drops the Puncher's Shard.

Step 22. Ants in the Ant Nest · Duelist, Trust

The level 38 Noble Ant Leader lv. 38 lives deep in the Ant Nest under the Wasteland — Gludio has a teleport to the Ant Cave. It drops the Noble Ant's Feeler.

On the same trip collect the material for Clayton: Ant Recruit lv. 33, Ant Patrol lv. 34, Ant Guard lv. 35, Ant Soldier lv. 35 and Ant Warrior Captain lv. 36 all count. 10 Giant Aphids turn into the Honey Dew by themselves.

Step 23. Final Order · Duelist

With 10 of every trophy go back to Kaien. He won't count them — click "Attempt the final trial." and "Ask about your opponent.": he takes the orders and trophies and gives you the Final Order. Now you need 3 trophies from each of five strong mobs — they drop only after the Final Order; in the final trial you may fight in a party.

Step 24. Gorr · Challenger

Gorr lv. 36 is a level 36 quest monster in a cave in the Plains of Dion. From Dion teleport to Dion Pasture and run about 7,800 southeast — the cave entrance is west of the Monster Race Track. Gorr drops the Watcher's 1st Eye on the first kill, and it respawns in 3 minutes.

Step 25. Clayton again · Trust

With the three materials return to Clayton in Dion — he takes the order back and sends you to Thifiell.

Step 26. Scroll of Dark Elf Trust · Trust

Bring the plasma, honey dew and ichor to Thifiell in the Dark Elven Village temple — he gives you the Scroll of Dark Elf Trust.

Step 27. Martien again · Challenger

Bring the eye back to Martien. He takes it and sends you after a second monster — Baraham, hiding in another cave not far from Gorr's lair.

Step 28. Hollint and the letter to Seresin · Trust

Return to Hollint in the Oren temple with both scrolls — he takes them and gives you the Letter to Seresin.

Step 29. Cardinal Seresin · Trust

Cardinal Seresin stands at the exit of the Oren temple, about 600 south-southeast of the teleport. Click "\"I will leave right now.\"" — from level 38 Seresin gives you the Letter to Orc and the Letter to Dwarf. Go to the Orcs first: the Dwarves answer only after the Orcs.

Step 30. Baraham and Champion Raldo · Challenger

From Dion teleport to the Bee Hive and run about 4,400 north to the cave. The level 36 Baraham lv. 36 has guards — 3 to 6 level 30 Cave Basilisks lv. 30. He drops the Watcher's 2nd Eye, and Champion Raldo appears where he died for 100 seconds — talk to him at once.

Raldo accuses you of attacking the guardians of the magic field. Click in turn "I have come to kill the monsters threatening the villagers.", "Tell him about the Mark of the Challenger and Martien" and "I will help.". He takes the second eye and sends you to Elder Filaur in the Dwarven Village; there is no need to go back to Martien. Missed the 100 seconds? Kill Baraham again: Raldo appears after every kill.

Step 31. Filaur in the Dwarven Village · Challenger

Teleport to the Dwarven Village: Gray Pillar Member Filaur stands in the Elder Council building. He helps only from level 36 — before that he just sends you away. Filaur marks on your map the farthest hall of the Mithril Mines, where succubi are trying to break the seal.

Step 32. The Succubus Queen and the Mark of Challenger · Challenger

From the Dwarven Village teleport to the Mithril Mines and run deep into the mine to the farthest hall — about 12,700 north-northeast. The level 34 Succubus Queen lv. 34 lives there and respawns in 3 minutes. After her death Raldo appears again for 100 seconds.

Talk to Raldo — he gives you the Mark of Challenger, 72,394 XP and 11,250 SP.

Step 33. Flame Lord Kakai · Trust

Teleport to the Orc Village: Flame Lord Kakai sits on the second floor of the main hall, about 2,200 west-northwest of the teleport. Click "Show Seresin's Letter" — you get the Letter to Manakia.

Step 34. Seer Manakia in Giran · Trust

Teleport to the Town of Giran: Seer Manakia stands in the Orc Guild, about 4,500 northwest of the teleport. Click "\"How can I help?\"" — you need parasites from the wild boars called Windsus.

Step 35. Windsus · Trust

From Giran teleport to Hardin's Private Academy: the Windsus lv. 39 (level 39) roam northwest of the academy, the nearest about 7,400 away. The Parasite of Lota drops with a 50% chance × quest rate; you need 10.

Step 36. Grandis · Duelist

Back to the Death Pass: about 16,000 south of the Plains of Lizardmen teleport. The level 40 Grandis lv. 40 drops the Grandi's Skin.

Step 37. Letter of Manakia · Trust

With 10 parasites return to Manakia in Giran — he takes them and gives you the Letter of Manakia for Kakai.

Step 38. Scroll of Orc Trust · Trust

Bring the letter to Kakai in the Orc Village — he gives you the Scroll of Orc Trust and sends you to the Dwarves.

Step 39. Lockirin in the House of Elders · Trust

Teleport to the Dwarven Village: Iron Gate's Lockirin stands in the House of Elders, about 1,200 east-northeast of the teleport. Click "Show Seresin's letter" — you get the Letter to Nikola.

Step 40. Maestro Nikola by the Cruma Tower · Trust

From Dion teleport to the Cruma Tower: Maestro Nikola stands outside, about 7,600 west-southwest of the teleport. Click "Ask about the Core" — you get the Order of Nikola.

Step 41. Porta, Excuro and Krator in the Cruma Tower · Trust, Duelist

Enter the Cruma Tower: Porta lv. 40 (level 40) live on the first floor. The Heartstone of Porta drops from every kill (× quest rate); you need 10.

Here you also get the final trophies for Kaien. The level 41 Excuro lv. 41 lives on the first floor — Excuro's Skin.

The level 44 Krator lv. 44 is on the second floor, reached by the teleport inside the tower. It drops the Krator's Shard.

Step 42. Nikola again · Trust

Bring 10 heartstones to Nikola — he takes them together with the order and sends you back to Lockirin.

Step 43. Scroll of Dwarf Trust · Trust

Return to Lockirin in the Dwarven Village — he gives you the Scroll of Dwarf Trust.

Step 44. Lakins · Duelist

From Hunters Village run about 7,000–12,000 south-southeast. The level 44 Lakin lv. 44 drops the Lakin's Mace.

Step 45. Timak Orc Overlords · Duelist

To find the level 45 Timak Orc Overlord lv. 45, run about 11,000–16,000 northwest from the Oren Town teleport. It drops the Timak Orc's Belt.

Step 46. Hollint's recommendation · Trust

With the Orc and Dwarf scrolls return to Hollint in the Oren temple — he gives you the Recommendation of Hollint for High Priest Biotin.

Step 47. Mark of Trust · Trust

Teleport to Talking Island Village: High Priest Biotin stands in the temple, about 900 south-southwest of the teleport. For the recommendation he gives you the Mark of Trust, 39,571 XP and 2,500 SP.

Step 48. Mark of Duelist and the class change · Duelist

With 3 of each of the five trophies go back to Kaien in Oren — he gives you the Mark of Duelist, 47,015 XP and 20,000 SP. You now have all three marks: from level 40 a Grand Master of the Warriors' Guild changes your class to Gladiator — Grand Master Klaus Blackbird stands right here in the Oren Warriors' Guild, or Grand Master Hannavalt in Giran. The next tier is the Duelist 3rd class quest from level 76.

How many mobs to kill at your rate

Kaien's trophies, the basilisk blood, aphids, stakato fluids and Porta heartstones drop with a 100% chance — the quest rate multiplies the amount per kill. The Windsus parasites drop with a 50% chance, and the rate multiplies the chance. Actea and Luell appear with a 33% chance at any rate — after about 3 kills on average. On some servers quest items drop one at a time at any rate — then use the x1 column.

Shyslassys, Gorr and Baraham give their item on the first kill.
