The first class quest for future Bladedancers and Shillien Knights is Path to a Palus Knight. A Dark Fighter takes it at level 19 (18 on some servers) from Master Virgil in Gludio and changes class at level 20. Step 1. Take the quest from Virgil
The quest is given by Master Virgil in the Dark Elf Guild in Gludio — not in the Dark Elf Village, which has a teleport to Gludio. Only a Dark Fighter of level 19+ can take it. You get the Palus Talisman.
Step 2. 13 Lycanthrope skulls
Walk north from Gludio into the Neutral Zone; only the Dark Elf Village and Elven Village gatekeepers teleport there. Kill Lycanthropes lv. 20 — level 20, aggressive. Every kill drops a skull; at quest rate x1 you need 13 kills, and only your own kills count. With 13 
Lycanthrope Skulls, return to Virgil for Virgil's Letter.
Step 3. The letter for Kalinta
Teleport to Gludin and give the letter to Abyssal Celebrant Kalinta in the Dark Elf Guild. You get the Morte Talisman; without it the spiders in the next steps drop nothing.
Step 4. Carapace from a Poison Spider
Leave Gludin through the south gate to Windmill Hill and kill one Poison Spider lv. 18 (level 18, passive; labelled Venomous Spider in some clients). You get the Predator's Carapace — exactly one, not five as some guides say.
Step 5. Arachnid Tracker silk and the coffin
In the same area kill Arachnid Trackers lv. 19 (level 19, aggressive) until you have 5 
Arachnid Tracker Silk. Go back to Kalinta, hand over the materials and press “Sign your name inside the coffin” to get the Coffin of Eternal Rest.
Step 6. Gaze of Abyss from Virgil
Return to Gludio and give the coffin to Virgil. He gives you the Gaze of Abyss, 3,200 XP and 1,500 SP.
Step 7. Class change with Tobias
At level 20 talk to Grand Master Tobias, who stands in the same guild next to Virgil. Xenos in Gludin and Tronix in the Town of Dion can also make you a Palus Knight; the Dark Elf Village can't. You also get 15 D-grade shadow gear coupons, which the same master exchanges.
You choose your path at the second class, from level 40: the Bladedancer 2nd class quest or the Shillien Knight 2nd class quest.
How many monsters to kill at your rate
Every quest item drops with a 100% chance, and the quest drop rate multiplies the amount per kill.
