The TH (Treasure Hunter, Adventurer after the 3rd class change) in High Five is a human dagger user whose blows barely wait for reuse:
Deadly Blow and
Backstab come back in 3 seconds, and at level 83 dual daggers unlock
Dual Blow. This TH H5 guide covers how dagger damage works in H5, what to learn on each class, buffs, gear up to S84, leveling spots for every level range, dyes, subclasses and the Olympiad. All numbers come from the High Five datapack.
TH in H5 at a glance
| Role | single-target solo damage with back-to-back dagger blows; in a party — finishing targets off and shedding aggro |
| Weapon | dagger; from S grade, dual daggers for |
| Armor | light: |
| Dyes | DEX and STR at the cost of CON; for the Olympiad, DEX without losing CON |
| Where to level | 20–40 — Catacomb of the Heretic, The Pilgrim's Necropolis; 40–52 — Cruma Tower, Garden of Eva; 52–61 — Devil's Isle, The Enchanted Valley; 61–76 — Tower of Insolence, Wall of Argos; 76–80 — Imperial Tomb, Hall of Flames; 80–85 — Antharas' Lair, Hardin's Academy |
For the older chronicles, see the Interlude TH guide. This page is High Five only: in H5 the class has different reuse times, new blows and new 3rd class skills.
TH class change quests
| Class | Level | How to get it |
|---|---|---|
| Rogue | 20 | TH 1st class quest |
| Treasure Hunter | 40 | Seeker, Trust and Searcher marks — TH 2nd class quests; the class change is done by a warrior grand master such as Hannavalt, who in High Five also hands out 15 Shadow Item Exchange Coupon (C-grade) |
| Adventurer | 76 | Saga of the Adventurer — TH 3rd class quest |
The marks come from Trial of the Seeker, Testimony of Trust and Test of the Searcher. Our copy of the High Five datapack has no quest scripts, so check start levels and rewards with the NPC on your server; the mark list and the coupons are taken from the H5 class change file.
How the TH deals damage in High Five
The key difference in H5 is reuse:
Deadly Blow and
Backstab are on 3 seconds,
Dual Blow on 8 seconds, so the TH presses them almost nonstop. Every blow needs a dagger or dual daggers;
Dual Blow works with dual daggers only.
| Skill | From level | Position | Power | MP | Reuse |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 40 | any side | 5,479 | 68 | 3 seconds | |
| 40 | from behind | 5,479 | 112 | 3 seconds | |
| 55 | any side; self blow chance ×1.3 for 15 seconds | 3,653 | 72 | 30 seconds | |
| 76 | any side | 5,773 | 77 | 4 seconds | |
| 83 | any side, dual daggers | 11,234 | 82 | 8 seconds |
What matters for dagger blows in H5:
- Blow chance. Each blow has its own base chance, raised by DEX and position: higher from the side than from the front, and higher still from behind. On top of that come blow chance multipliers:
Critical Blow ×1.3,
Exciting Adventure ×1.3,
Assassination ×1.03,
Dual Dagger Mastery ×1.05. A miss means the MP is spent and the blow did nothing.
Backstab is described as a hit to the back. The Mobius build only checks "not from the front", so it lands from the side as well.- Blow damage is the dagger's P. Atk. plus skill power, boosted by soulshots, crit damage (
Death Whisper,
Focus Power) and flat crit damage bonuses —
Vicious Stance,
Critical Damage, the
Critical Damage SA — then divided by the target's P. Def. That is why a dagger wants high P. Atk., and
Might and
Chant of Battle raise blow damage too. - Lethal.
Backstab at max level and
Lethal Blow have a 15% chance to cut a monster's HP in half,
Deadly Blow 10%,
Dual Blow 8%,
Critical Blow 5%.
Dual Blow also has a 1% chance to leave the target at 1 HP. Against players, the half lethal drops CP to 1. - MP runs out before reuse does. With
Deadly Blow on 3 seconds and
Lethal Blow on 4 seconds, the TH hits an MP wall first.
Dagger Mastery helps: on a crit, a 33% chance for 5 seconds of physical skill MP cost ×0.4 and blow chance ×1.1.
Rotation on a monster:
Critical Wound (from level 79: the target takes crit damage ×1.3 for 30 seconds) →
Critical Blow → get behind →
Backstab →
Deadly Blow →
Lethal Blow. From 83 with dual daggers, weave in
Dual Blow every 8 seconds.
Chests and traps
The TH gets
Unlock at level 20, and on the 2nd class it grows to skill level 14. In H5 its reuse is 30 seconds, and each cast uses up
Thief Key — the higher the
Unlock level, the more keys. The skill description gives level 14 a 90% chance to open a level 72 chest. The Mobius build has no chance roll here: a chest close to your level always opens, while one too high or too low attacks.
| Skill | From level | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| 46, grows to 74 | turns 2 | |
| 74 | reveals traps within a 300 radius | |
| 74 | disarms a found trap from 400 away |
How to play a TH in H5
Solo. The core style:
Vicious Stance always on, one monster at a time, blows in the order above. Reuse is short in H5, so the TH kills a single monster faster than in Interlude, and the time goes into running between targets and resting for MP.
Packs. The TH has no AoE blows.
Lure from level 52 pulls a single monster (range 400, reuse 3 seconds); if two come, use
Trick (the monster forgets you, reuse 5 seconds) or
Switch (the monster switches target, reuse 3 seconds).
Veil makes a monster non-aggressive for 120 seconds.
Fast engage.
Shadow Step from level 40 puts you behind a target up to 600 away and clears its target; reuse 75 seconds. Handy against archer monsters and in PvP — straight into
Backstab.
Peaceful mode.
Silent Move (speed ×0.6) and
Stealth for 120 seconds let you reach a chest or spot past aggressive monsters; under
Stealth P. Atk. is ×0.55, so don't fight from it.
Hide from level 81 takes you out of sight for 30 seconds, reuse 180 seconds.
Fake Death (MP 200) drops monster aggro when things go wrong.
In a party. The TH finishes off whatever the tank holds, coming in from behind.
Critical Wound on the target raises crit damage for allies too.
When it gets rough:
| Skill | What it gives |
|---|---|
| Evasion +25 and physical skill evasion +40 for 30 seconds; reuse 900 seconds | |
| from level 83: Evasion +15, speed +20, blow chance ×1.3 for 30 seconds; reuse 900 seconds | |
| speed +66 for 15 seconds, reuse 30 seconds | |
| removes hold from yourself, reuse 15 seconds | |
| target accuracy −12 for 30 seconds, range 150 |
What does not stack
| Your skill | Does not stack with | What remains |
|---|---|---|
| each other | one effect: at equal level the last one applied stays — use them one after another, not together | |
| each other | one, the last applied | |
| one bleed on the target; at equal level, the last | ||
| one accuracy debuff, the last applied | ||
| the Bishop's | one, the last applied | |
| other classes' stuns — | one stun | |
| other classes' slows — Entangle, Cripple, | one slow |
Buffs for a TH in H5
Without crit damage and attack speed the blows are weaker and auto-attacks between them are slower. What the TH needs:
| Buffer | What the TH gets |
|---|---|
| Prophet | |
| Shillien Elder | the same |
| Warcryer | |
| Bladedancer | |
| Swordsinger |
Death Whisper and
Chant of Rage share a type at equal level: whichever lands last stays. The same goes for
Haste with
Chant of Fury and
Might with
Chant of Battle. For PvP add
Mental Shield from a Prophet or Shillien Elder: resistance to hold, sleep and mental attacks +50%.

Evasion Haste is not learned for SP but from the
Forgotten Scroll - Evasion Haste scroll: in the datapack it drops from Shaman of Ancient Times lv. 75 in Silent Valley — 2.04% at x1 rate.

| 82, scroll | ||
| 83 | an 11,234-power dual dagger blow, reuse 8 seconds | |
| 83, scroll | blow chance ×1.3 and evasion for 30 seconds |
The full 3rd class costs 578,340,000 SP; the priciest are
Symbol of the Assassin (150 million),
Dual Blow (100 million) and
Throwing Dagger (90 million). Skills marked "scroll" are learned from a Forgotten Scroll, not for SP. Take
Lethal Blow,
Focus Power and
Assassination first,
Dual Blow at 83, and
Symbol of the Assassin later.
You can only keep one of
Focus Power and
Focus Chance. For dagger blows pick
Focus Power: it raises the crit damage of blows (in the Mobius build, blow damage gets half of the positional bonus).
Focus Chance changes the auto-attack crit rate and does nothing for blow chance. In H5,
Skill Mastery resets the reuse of any skill and doubles the duration of a buff; its chance scales with STR.
TH skill enchanting
Enchanting opens at level 76. The 2nd class blows have seven routes (power, MP, four elements and PvP),
Vicious Stance has two; each goes up to +30, and you can follow only one. In H5 the Adventurer skills enchant too —
Lethal Blow,
Focus Power and others — but only to +15. The +1 chance on
Deadly Blow is 82% at level 76, while +30 is 24% even at 85;
Lethal Blow +1 at level 76 is 18%.
| Skill | Route | At max |
|---|---|---|
| Power, +30 | power 7,192 | |
| Duel, +30 — for PvP | power vs. players 9,350 | |
| Power, +30 | flat crit damage bonus +774 | |
| Power, +30 | power 4,640 | |
| Cost, +30 | MP 56 instead of 112 | |
| Power, +15 | power 6,965 | |
| Power, +15 | behind ×1.7 | |
| Chance, +15 | stun chance 70 instead of 40 |
Start with
Deadly Blow on power, then
Vicious Stance, which lifts every blow. Backstab's power route adds almost nothing (5,889 at +30), so it gets the MP route instead.

If your server runs Freya or Gracia Final
The High Five datapack flags
Throwing Dagger and
Dual Blow as new in High Five — Freya and Gracia Final most likely don't have them, which leaves the TH without a dual dagger blow at 83. The rest of the tree is flagged as checked for CT2.5 and updated for High Five, but we have not confirmed reuse times and SP for Freya and Gracia Final: compare the skill list with the trainer on your own server.
TH gear
The TH wears a dagger and light armor; in H5 the grades open at levels 20, 40, 52, 61, 76, 80 and 84, and dual daggers from S grade. Weapon P. Atk. is part of blow damage, so pick the dagger by P. Atk. and with the
Critical Damage SA (a flat crit damage bonus). P. Atk. and set bonuses are from the High Five datapack.

Sets with attack speed (Dark Crystal, Draconic, Moirai, Vesper) speed up auto-attacks between blows.
Leather Armor of Nightmare is for PvP, where a TH often gets held and put to sleep. From level 81 dual daggers beat a single dagger:
Dual Dagger Mastery gives them P. Atk. +87.5 and blow chance ×1.05, and the dual daggers themselves hit harder (304 vs 291 for Dynasty, 332 vs 318 for Icarus); the single dagger only has the
Critical Damage SA going for it. At 83
Dual Blow is added on top.
Where to level a TH in H5
The zones come from player guides and from the best experience per HP in the High Five datapack; each lists the most rewarding monsters by experience and two drops with their chance at x1 rate. The TH is fastest on single monsters: it has no AoE blows, and the catacombs and necropolises also give Seal Stones from almost every monster.
Level 20–40
Best for a TH: Catacomb of the Heretic and The Pilgrim's Necropolis — the most experience per HP, tied; Necropolis of Sacrifice — third by experience per HP, monsters for the start of the range.

TH dyes
In H5 DEX pays off for the TH everywhere at once: dagger blow chance, attack speed, evasion. STR gives
Skill Mastery chance and P. Atk., CON gives HP. There are no MEN dyes.
| Style | Dyes (three of them) |
|---|---|
| Leveling on the 2nd class, blow chance | |
| Olympiad and PvP, CON untouched | |
| Adventurer with |
The second set pushes STR into the negative:
Skill Mastery procs less often, but the TH survives the opening burst in the Olympiad.
Subclasses for a TH
In H5 you can add a subclass once the main class and every subclass you already have reach level 75; the subclass quests and how many subclasses you get are up to the server.
- TH as the main class. Abyss Walker and Plains Walker (the same dagger group), Overlord, Warsmith and any Kamael are off-limits; every other 2nd class is allowed. A subclass levels like a separate character.
- TH as a subclass. Anyone except the Abyss Walker, Plains Walker and Kamael takes it for chests and solo leveling.
Certification. In High Five a subclass brings passives to the main class. The Emergent Ability certificate is issued from subclass level 65 (
Emergent Ability - Attack — P. Atk., dagger included), the subclass-type ability and Master Ability from 75. Most useful for a TH are
Warrior Ability - Boost CP (max CP +738.3),
Rogue Ability - Evasion (Evasion +4) and
Master Ability - Focus (crit rate +30). Only the main class learns these skills.
TH in the Olympiad
Only nobles get in, and only on the main class. The Adventurer's strengths in H5:
Mirage before the fight: for 60 seconds, each time the opponent damages you there is an 80% chance they lose their target, reuse 150 seconds — so
Mirage is up for nearly every match;
Shadow Step — straight behind them with a target reset, then
Backstab;
Bluff — a 9-second stun; the base chance is low, the Chance enchant route raises it;
Throwing Dagger — catch an archer or mage: 40% chance of speed ×0.2 for 10 seconds from 300 range;
Exciting Adventure or
Ultimate Evasion against fighters — one after the other, as they do not stack;
Focus Power and
Critical Wound: mages have low P. Def., and dagger blows are your main damage against them.

Tree and numbers are from the High Five datapack (L2J Mobius CT 2.6). In High Five spellbooks are gone: everything is learned for SP except Divine Inspiration (Ancient Book) and skills that need a Forgotten Scroll — their SP column says “book or scroll”.
Other classes are in the Lineage 2 classes section. A dagger user in H5 is at its strongest on a fresh server, before opponents are geared in S84: launch dates and rates are in the list of new High Five servers, and a wider pick is under all L2 servers.
FAQ
Where should a TH level in H5?
20–40 — Catacomb of the Heretic, The Pilgrim's Necropolis; 40–52 — Cruma Tower, Garden of Eva; 52–61 — Devil's Isle, The Enchanted Valley; 61–76 — Tower of Insolence, Wall of Argos; 76–80 — Imperial Tomb, Hall of Flames; 80–85 — Antharas' Lair, Hardin's Academy.
What changed for the TH in High Five?
Deadly Blow and
Backstab come back in 3 seconds instead of 11,
Critical Blow in 30 seconds,
Lethal Blow in 4 seconds.
Shadow Step,
Critical Wound,
Throwing Dagger,
Exciting Adventure and
Dual Blow were added; Battle Force was removed, and Adventurer skills enchant up to +15.
Which TH skills to learn first in H5?
Deadly Blow and
Backstab, then
Vicious Stance and
Critical Damage, the dagger and light armor masteries, and
Critical Blow from 55. On the 3rd class —
Lethal Blow,
Focus Power,
Assassination and
Dual Blow at 83.
Does a TH need dual daggers in High Five?
Yes, from level 81 already:
Dual Dagger Mastery gives dual daggers P. Atk. +87.5 and blow chance ×1.05, and their attack is higher (332 vs 318 for Icarus). A single dagger only has the
Critical Damage SA on its side. From 83 dual daggers also unlock
Dual Blow (power 11,234, reuse 8 seconds).
How is the TH different from the AW and PW in H5?
Critical Blow,
Stealth,
Mirage and
Exciting Adventure belong to the TH alone, and only the Adventurer gets both
Focus Chance and
Focus Power. The Abyss Walker and Plains Walker get
Mortal Strike and
Blinding Blow; on the 3rd class the Ghost Hunter has
Focus Power plus
Focus Death, the Wind Rider
Focus Chance plus
Focus Death. All three share
Critical Wound and
Dual Blow.
Which dyes for a TH in H5?
For leveling — DEX+4 CON−4, STR+4 CON−4 and DEX+1 CON−1. For the Olympiad — DEX+4 STR−4, CON+4 STR−4 and DEX+1 STR−1: DEX maxed, CON kept.
Which marks does the TH 2nd class need in H5?
Mark of Seeker,
Mark of Trust and
Mark of Searcher. From level 40 a warrior grand master changes the class, and in High Five he also hands out 15 Shadow Item Exchange Coupon (C-grade).
Which subclass should a TH take in H5?
Any 2nd class except Abyss Walker, Plains Walker, Overlord, Warsmith and Kamael. For certification, a warrior or a rogue pays off best: Warrior Ability gives Boost CP (max CP +738.3), Rogue Ability gives Evasion +4. Our copy of the datapack does not say which certificate a given subclass earns — ask the certification NPC.
Master Ability - Focus (crit rate +30) opens at subclass level 75.
